Strumble Diary 06/03/2018

With light SW winds and a thin veil of high cloud normal service resumed after the cold snap of the past week or so. An ebbing tide through the afternoon provided the ideal chance to get back at it. When I arrived Holly and Rob were already there and were coming to the end of their fin survey. Keen watcher Derek from Clarbeston Road was also there and we all spent  some time scanning and recording until Holly and Rob left for base. Several porps were observed close in with a lot more at distance in the tide race. Cliff joined us late on and we saw a few more off to our left before the action tailed off and the porps washed through to the west. It was good to get back out there and hopefully the weather will play ball and we can have a good springtime watching the different cetaceans as they come back in from their deep water haunts.
